Welcome to Fyfield & Tubney Parish Council’s Web Site

Update on the Neighbourhood Priorities Satement.

The Parish Council was involved with the production of a Neighbourhood Priorities Statement in conjuction with the District Council. This document was intended inform the District Planning Officers of the parish’s preferences when considering local planning applications.

Despite legislation being passed to enact these statements, the secondary legislation required to bring them into force fell foul of the last General Election and the concept appears to have been dropped.

As part of the process, the Parish Council surveyed residents of their priorities and identified those causing the most concern. The Parish Council has attemped to move forward on all of these items with varying success. The following document details what has happened to date.

Traffic Speeds on Main Road, Fyfield

Main Road, Fyfield can be very conjested at times. Most residents have to park on the road and numbers are swelled by workers from the units and pub clientele. This makes it difficult to pass oncoming traffic and to see young children or animals near parked cars.

Please drive at a safe speed appropriate to visability and conditions.
